Join Better Sessions

Seeking an energetic and reliable Learn Better Coach to join the team at Better Sessions, beginning August 2022. Must be available to meet with students 1:1 in their homes during after-school hours and work with up to 10 families each week.

Special Education or English Education degree required.

Willing to travel to the homes of students throughout Charlotte, NC (Mostly South Charlotte).

Experience teaching executive functioning skills and study skills to students, grades 5-12 who have attentional and organizational difficulties.

Experience teaching English/Literature/Reading/Writing Skills to middle and/or high school students.

Experience reading and interpreting Neuropsychological Evaluations, 504 Plans, and IEPs.

Possess a “coach” mentality, process-oriented, familiar with goal setting, and holding students accountable.

Effectively communicate with parents, therapists, teachers, and professionals.

Research and prepare content that caters to the individual needs of the student (Better Sessions material and free training will also be provided).

Compensation

This is an independent contractor position.

You will be paired with students that best match your skills and teaching style, typically 1-3 students within the first 90 days with the potential to work with up to 15 families.

The session rate is $75 per 1-hour session.
